NOHVCC Trails Designation Workshop                                                                                         September 27 to 30, 2007
Tony Eeds and Chuck Wise represented TMTC BoD at an NOHVCC workshop in Conroe, TX.  NOHVCC in cooperation with the Angelina,
Davy Crockett, Sam Houston and Sabine National Forests conducted a Motorized Route Designation Workshop for agency personnel and
other stake holders.  The workshop was designed to assist stake holders in effective implementation of the USFS Travel Management Rule
in Texas.  Information acquired during the workshop will be posted on TMTC website where it will be available to all members.  A link to
the material will be added soon. Watch for it on this page.

SUPERLIFT at the Mountain HAS BEEN CANCELED!!!                                                                           October 5, 2007
We are sad to announce that this years SAM event has been canceled,  Cancellation was necessary due to budget cut backs and
communication breakdowns between SUPERLIFT and TMTC.  Both SUPERLIFT and TMTC regret the conditions that have resulted in this
cancellation. We are working together on next years event and both agree that next years event will be bigger and better than ever.
In the past we have held SAM over the Veterans Day Weekend.  Other events that are held on the same weekend have forced  members
to pick which event they would attend.  We are therefore also searching for a date that will be better for you.  If you have any suggestions
of a date you would like to see the event held as well as anything else that you think would make this event better please e-mail me at

Carroll Broussard  resigns from the TMTC Board                                                                                October 12, 2007
The Board of Directors regrets to announce the resignation of Carroll Broussard from the board.  Carroll, ATV User Representative, cites
recent changes that limit the amount of time he has available to contribute as reason for his decision.  The board will miss Carroll's
participation. We extend  our THANKS, wish him continuing success and hope to share the trails with him into the future.
EDRA Development Schedule

I thought I would post an update of where we stand with the development plan.

As of now, the master plan has been accepted by the adjacent landowners and is being reviewed by the US Fish & Game and Texas
Historical Commission folks.

Once those hurdles are behind us, we will go before the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Commission for final state approval.

Following that approval, the entire document goes before the US Department of Transportation for the final hurdle of all.

Once we have USDOT approval, we can begin the process of laying out trails and installing infrastructure. At this point I anticipate that we
will not begin construction until early spring 2008.

Steve Thompson with TPWD will be the team leader for laying out all trails in the park. Certain trails skirt avoidance zones and he must verify
compliance.

The water well and electricity will be installed ASAP along with a parking area. Once those improvements are in place, we will likely have a
soft opening of the facility.

Sometime in the coming summer, we will be hosting an open house for all TMTC members and all residents of Crockett County.

Escondido Draw Recreational Area Master Plan was approved by the TPWD Commission.

The Chairman gave TMTC kudos as well for building bridges with the local community in Ozona.  Pending is final approval
by US Fish and Wildlife and the Texas Historical Commission which is expected within a week or so.

Congratulations to all involved with the process of completing the master plan!
